Theresa Benavidez is an abstract painter living in Kansas City, MO.

Theresa’s creative passion for Art began in childhood, always engaged in a creative project. Fast forward to adulthood and not much has changed! On any given day you can find Theresa in her basement studio either painting or exploring the many facets of her Artistic creations. Theresa is an accomplished abstract painter, creating in Oil and Acrylic paint, Collage, Mixed Media and currently Sculpture. She works on canvas and paper, large works to small.

Theresa also teaches workshops, inperson or in collaboration with other artists. Theresa is currently collaborating with a long time artist friend Lisa Baker in hosting and teaching a weekend creative retreat in Newton, KS.

Theresa is a Mom to Four grown children and Five Grandchildren. At 68 she enjoys dabbling in her yard, a good Netflix series, enjoying a glass of wine and continuing her Artistic life.
