Theresa Benavidez is an abstract painter based in Kansas City, MO. Her passion for art ignited in childhood, as she was always immersed in creative projects. Today, that enthusiasm remains unchanged; you can often find her in her basement studio, either painting or delving into various aspects of her artistic creations. An accomplished abstract artist , Theresa works with oil and acrylic paints, collage, mixed media, and is currently exploring sculpture. She creates works on canvas and paper. Her current works are available for purchase here on this website. Theresa also teaches workshops, inperson or in collaboration with other artists. Theresa is currently collaborating with a long time artist friend Lisa Baker in hosting and teaching a weekend creative retreat in Newton, KS.
